CATL to offer DHL Group integrated energy solutions
Shanghai (Gasgoo)- Chinese power battery giant CATL announced on Jan. 27 it has signed a strategic agreement with DHL Group, a world's leading logistics company operating in over 220 countries. The collaboration aims to provide DHL with comprehensive solutions that integrate energy storage, electric vehicle charging, and battery swapping.

Mr. Tan Libin, Co-President of CATL's Marketing System, stated, "By combining DHL's extensive logistics capabilities with CATL's green innovation technologies, we are jointly pioneering groundbreaking sustainable logistics solutions. Strengthening our partnership with DHL not only supports the sustainability goals of both companies but also accelerates progress toward a greener future."
Under the agreement, CATL will supply DHL with advanced liquid-cooled energy storage systems and an energy management platform for the latter's global logistics parks. The integrated energy solutions, featuring battery swapping and ultra-fast charging systems, will optimize DHL’s energy structure by maximizing the use of renewable electricity. This partnership is expected to play a key role in helping DHL achieve its goal of net-zero emissions by 2050.
As part of the agreement, CATL has also designated DHL as its preferred logistics provider. Leveraging DHL’s global EV Centers of Excellence network, CATL aims to further develop comprehensive green logistics solutions. The partnership will also explore opportunities in battery recycling and end-of-life battery management, driving innovation in sustainable energy ecosystems.
