EVE Energy starts operation at first overseas plant

Shanghai (Gasgoo)- On February 16, Chinese lithium battery supplier EVE Energy held a ceremony to celebrate the rollout of the first battery from its Malaysia factory, marking the official start of production at its first overseas manufacturing facility, according to a post on the company's WeChat account.

Construction of the Malaysia plant began in August 2023, with equipment installation starting in December 2024. In just two months, the production line was successfully commissioned, leading to the rollout of the plant's first battery product.

The plant's smooth launch will significantly enhance EVE Energy's overseas delivery capabilities, enabling the company to provide global customers with high-quality products and services more timely. This milestone also strengthens EVE Energy's presence in key international markets, including Southeast Asia, Europe, and North America, meeting the growing demand for premium battery solutions.

At the ceremony, He Yingshen, Vice President of EVE Energy and Director & General Manager of EVE Energy Malaysia Sdn Bhd, highlighted the rapid progress of the project. "Just a year and a half ago, we were envisioning and planning this facility. Today, it has successfully begun production. This factory is not only EVE Energy's first step toward internationalization but also a critical link connecting us to the global market. As our first overseas plant to achieve mass production, it paves the way for our broader expansion."

EVE Energy said, specializing in cylindrical batteries for power tools and electric two-wheelers, the Malaysia plant was designed with high standards from the outset, integrating cutting-edge automation technology to ensure efficiency and product quality. With an annual production capacity of 680 million cylindrical cells, the factory lays a solid foundation for EVE Energy's global business growth.
