Li Auto opens pre-orders for new MEGA Ultra Smart Driving Edition

Beijing (Gasgoo)- On March 21, Chinese new energy vehicle maker Li Auto officially opened pre-orders for the new Li MEGA Ultra Smart Driving Edition MPV, with an expected delivery timeline within May. The pre-order price is set at 529,800 yuan.

Starting from March 21, 2025, customers can place pre-orders with a 5,000-yuan deposit. By the end of April, the Li MEGA display vehicles will arrive at Li Auto's retail centers across various cities, and test drives will commence in May. Additionally, final order confirmations and customization options will open at the end of April, aligning with the vehicle's scheduled delivery in May.  

Previously, Li Auto's L-series and MEGA models were listed in the Ministry of Industry and Information Technology's (MIIT) change and extension catalog, signaling the approval of the new Smart Driving Edition. Notably, models equipped with the AD Pro intelligent driving system will feature an added LiDAR sensor, bringing their active safety capabilities on par with those of the AD Max system.  

The updated version adopts a more compact LiDAR solution. Meanwhile, models equipped with the AD Max system will transition from NVIDIA's dual Orin-X chips to a single Thor-U chip. Li Auto states that both configurations will support advanced driver assistance and full-scenario NOA functions while running end-to-end and VLM large models, as well as the upcoming VLA model later this year.
