China's TCab Tech secures $1 billion eVTOL order from UAE's Autocraft

Shanghai (Gasgoo)- On July 16, Chinese eVTOL developer TCab Tech announced it has signed a $1 billion purchase agreement with UAE-based Autocraft for 350 units of its E20 eVTOL aircraft.

The two companies will work together to advance the commercialization of low-altitude tourism and aerial mobility solutions across the Middle East and North Africa.

The E20 is TCab Tech's flagship model, developed in-house with a tiltrotor design that enables both vertical takeoff and landing as well as efficient horizontal cruising. It boasts a maximum range of 200 kilometers, a cruising speed of 260 km/h, and a top speed of 320 km/h. Designed for both intra-city and intercity transport, the aircraft is positioned as a competitive solution in terms of safety, cost-efficiency, and adaptability.

Autocraft, a UAE firm known for its strategic investments in cutting-edge technologies, aims to position the country as a leader in aerial transportation solutions.

The new partnership leverages Autocraft's strengths in regulatory access, local geography, and operational insight, alongside TCab Tech's expertise in aircraft development, manufacturing, and system integration. Together, the companies plan to launch pilot programs and commercial deployments of the E20 across multiple regions in the MENA market.

TCab Tech emphasized that this landmark order represents not only a major step in the international rollout of the E20, but also a model of Sino-Arab collaboration in high-tech innovation under the framework of the Belt and Road Initiative.
