Apr. 25 , 2008Shanghai, April 25 (Gasgoo.com) The all-new Mazda 6 made its China debut at the Beijing auto show this month and will be locally made for the Chinese market later this year along with its predecessor. The new Mazda 6 will be priced above 200,000 yuan ($28,600). Three gas / electric engine versions will be on offer in the range from 88 kW/120 hp to 125 kW/170 hp. It may also feature the fuel conversion device (such as an internal combustion engine), energy storage system, and motor as its hybrid power plant. The new Mazda 6, built on the Ford Mondeo platform, has larger front disc and anti-lock brakes with double wishbones in front. Apr. 25 , 2008Shanghai, April 25 (Gasgoo.com) BYD unveiled its new mini-car model F1 at the Beijing auto show. Dubbed the 'Chinese MINI,' BYD FI is designed as the cheapest Chinese-made car, to be priced between 30,000 yuan ($4,290) and 40,000 yuan when it hits the market after its Beijing debut. The F1 measures 3,460 (L) x 1,618 (W) x 1,465mm (H) and weighs 870kg. The wheelbase is 2,340mm. The front and rear treads are 1,420 and 1,410mm long, respectively.
