This year, Aliqiche, a Chinese autonews website jointly established by Alibaba Group and SAIC Motor, has a unprecedentedly big sale of vehicles for the Nov 11 online shopping spree (short for 11.11). Cooperating with manufacturers and franchisers, Aliqiche launches more than 50 models, totaling about 30,000, for the sale. Some of these vehicles are even 50% off.

General Motors engineers reported accidentally turning off ignition switches in a Cadillac SRX with their knees more than eight years ago, and they ordered a similar fix to a similar problem in smaller, cheaper cars linked to 13 deaths, according to documents from parts maker Delphi Automotive.

Cadillac prices ELR plug-in hybrid at $75,995

Cadillac weighs large crossover under Escalade badge

Cadillac is considering adding a large crossover to its lineup and branding it under the Escalade name, the brand's top executive said. "I think there's a lot of equity in Escalade," Bob Ferguson, senior vice president of global Cadillac, said Monday after unveiling the redesigned 2015 Escalade at an event here. "I'd like to explore the notion of other vehicles that would carry that brand name."
