General Motors shows electric HUMMER at China International Import Expo

Shanghai (Gasgoo)- General Motors showcased its Ultium platform and signature vehicles, especially an Ultium powered electric HUMMER at the Fourth China International Import Expo (CIIE) in Shanghai.

The Uiltium platform signified GM’s commitment to advance a greener, better and safer future in China. The platform is an ideal technical pathway for intelligent and connected driving, and is capable of transforming almost every vehicle into an EV.

Through the Ultium platform, the automaker aims to eliminate tailpipe emissions from all new light-duty vehicles by 2035 and achieve carbon neutrality by 2040.

At the CIIE, GM presented its subversive GMC HUMMER EV for the first time in China. Shattering the traditional perception of a pickup, the all-electric HUMMER is both fierce and green.

In the Watts to Freedom launch mode, it can achieve 0-100 km/h acceleration in about three seconds. Its unique CrabWalk diagonal-drive functionality and first-of-its-kind Extract Mode that activates the Adaptive Air Ride Suspension conquers all terrains.

With a hundred years of expertise in the field, the Trail Boss trim of Chevrolet’s featured Silverado pickup is showcased at the CIIE.

The truck is equipped with a tailored off-road content and a highly functional bed that offers 12 standard tie-downs and six different functions with the industry-first Multi-Flex tailgate. It offers up to 15 available camera views and a segment-exclusive transparent trailer feature with a towing capability of over 6,000 kg.

The first-ever mid-engine and hardtop Chevrolet Corvette Stingray Convertible features a 6.2L LT2 Small Block V-8 engine and Chevrolet’s first eight-speed dual-clutch transmission combine. The supercar runs from 0 to 100 km/h in about three seconds with the Z51 Performance package.
