IM Motors nabs 9.4 billion yuan in overall Series B financing
Shanghai (Gasgoo)- On December 25, IM Motors, the premium electric vehicle maker co-backed by SAIC Motor, Alibaba Group, and Zhangjiang High-Tech, announced the successful completion of its Series B1 equity financing, bringing its total Series B funding to 9.4 billion yuan.
IM Motors said the fresh fundraising marks a significant milestone for the company, highlighting strong confidence in its long-term growth potential and promising future from both state-backed and market-oriented investors.

The newly raised funds will be directed toward advancing key technologies, including digital intelligent chassis systems, steer-by-wire technology, and smart driving solutions. Additionally, the company aims to expedite the launch of new products.
In 2025, IM Motors plans to roll out four new models, including two pure electric vehicles and two range-extended electric vehicles, as part of its strategy to expand into larger markets and better cater to diverse customer needs.
IM Motors logged a sales volume of 10,007 units in November 2025, representing a growth both year-on-year and month-on-month.

This positive growth may be attributed to IM Motors' expanding lineup, particularly with the launch of the all-new IM LS6 model on September 26. This new vehicle comes in five trim options, with introductory pricing from 216,900 yuan to 279,900 yuan.
On the technology front, the all-new LS6 is equipped with LiDAR and NVIDIA Orin X chips across all versions, offering HD map-free city navigation-on-autopilot (NOA) right out of the box, enabled nationwide. The new LS6 also supports more than 300 parking scenarios with its "IM AD" automatic parking assist and "AVP (automatic valet parking)" function.
For handling and agility, the all-new LS6 introduces the "Lingxi Digital Chassis," making it the only SUV in its class with an intelligent four-wheel steering system. This feature reduces the turning radius to 5.09 meters and supports a crab-walking mode, ensuring maneuverability despite the vehicle's size.
In terms of power, the all-new LS6 is available in rear-wheel-drive versions with outputs of 216kW, 248kW, 250kW, and 300kW, and an all-wheel-drive variant delivering 579kW. Battery capacities include 75kWh, 83kWh, and 100kWh, with CLTC ranges spanning from 605km to 760km. The new LS6 also supports quasi-900V fast charging, enabling a 579km charge in just 15 minutes, and the AWD model accelerates from 0 to 100 km/h in only 3.48 seconds.
