Gasgoo Munich- On June 25, XPENG founder He Xiaopeng announced that the company's flagship MPV, the X9, has hit 60,000 global deliveries. The milestone ceremony took place in Hong Kong, where the vehicle was handed over to Alan Chan, a titan of the Chinese design industry.
A veteran with decades in the industry, Chan boasts a portfolio of iconic visual works. He designed the logo for the National Centre for the Performing Arts, the branding for Hong Kong International Airport, and Coca-Cola's Chinese trademark—achievements that have earned him widespread acclaim in the global design arena.

During a discussion about the new model, Chan offered a candid assessment of the X9's exterior, drawing on his professional aesthetic. He praised the vehicle's clean body lines and generous interior space, noting that the overall styling is timeless and avoids visual fatigue.
Coinciding with the handover, the pair tested XPENG's first self-operated ultra-fast charging station in Hong Kong. Real-world data showed the vehicle charging from 10% to 80% in just 12 minutes. That kind of efficiency—powering up during a quick coffee break—helps alleviate range anxiety for electric MPV owners on long journeys.
The sales figures underscore a broader trend: the X9's rapid ascent to 60,000 global deliveries highlights strong market validation for the model's capabilities within the premium electric MPV segment.
He Xiaopeng emphasized that refining vehicle design, intelligent driving features, and the charging network remains central to the brand's long-term strategy. Moving forward, the company plans to optimize product experiences and expand its overseas service footprint, rewarding customer loyalty while steadily capturing share in the global premium electric mobility market.
