AISTALAND GX7 makes global debut as flagship five-seat SUV with one-touch bed mode

Gasgoo Munich- AISTALAND, the cooperative brand between Huawei and GAC group, on June 26 unveiled the GX7, the second strategic model in its product lineup, marking the global debut of a new intelligent five-seat SUV designed to redefine expectations in the large five-seat segment. The vehicle targets a longstanding challenge faced by many SUVs: balancing sporty styling with generous interior space without compromising either.

The GX7 adopts AISTALAND's signature design philosophy of short front and rear overhangs combined with a long wheelbase. Measuring 3,070 mm between the axles, the SUV achieves a wheelbase-to-body-length ratio of 60%, a layout intended to maximize cabin space while maintaining athletic proportions.

To address the common trade-off between a coupe-like roofline and rear-seat headroom, the designers introduced a two-stage roof profile. The front section remains relatively flat to preserve head clearance for rear passengers, while the rear section transitions into a more dynamic silhouette. According to the company, the approach allows the GX7 to combine the visual appeal of a sporty SUV with the practicality expected by family buyers.

A key feature of the GX7 is its integrated cabin rest system. With a single touch, the electrically controlled seats can automatically transform into a full-length bed in approximately 20 seconds.

Unlike aftermarket camping conversions, the factory-designed solution requires no additional modifications or separate mattress, offering users a ready-to-use resting space inside the vehicle. The company says the feature is intended to enhance comfort during road trips, outdoor activities, or short breaks while traveling.

The GX7 is developed under AISTALAND, the premium intelligent new energy vehicle brand jointly created by GAC Group and Harmony lntelligent Mobility Alliance ("HIMA"). The project follows a deeply integrated development model that combines GAC's strengths in vehicle engineering, manufacturing, supply chain management, and production with Huawei's expertise in intelligent vehicle technologies.

The companies describe the collaboration as extending beyond the conventional automaker-supplier relationship, with both sides jointly contributing to product definition, technology integration, and system development to build long-term competitive advantages.

The GX7 joins the previously introduced GT7 to form what AISTALAND describes as its dual flagship product lineup. While the GT7 targets the intelligent shooting brake segment, the GX7 is positioned to compete in the mainstream SUV market.

Looking ahead, the brand plans to steadily broaden its portfolio through 2028, introducing additional sedan and SUV models to establish a presence across China's major passenger vehicle segments.

AISTALAND's research, development, and manufacturing operations are all based in Guangzhou, where the company leverages the city's well-established automotive supply chain and industrial ecosystem.

The brand has also received approval to conduct Level 3 autonomous driving road tests in Guangzhou. According to the company, its autonomous driving development program has accumulated more than 300,000 kilometers of public-road testing, providing engineering data to support future intelligent driving technologies.
