Gasgoo Munich - On January 21, Li Auto officially began rolling out the OTA 8.2 system update. Spanning three core modules—driver assistance, smart cockpit, and smart electric features—the upgrade prioritizes driving comfort and practicality in urban environments.

On the driver assistance front, the enhanced VLA driver model incorporates behavioral reinforcement learning. By fusing millisecond-level steering and pedal inputs, it optimizes lateral and longitudinal control. In complex urban scenarios—such as traffic jams, mixed traffic flows, and unprotected turns—the system delivers smoother car-following, smarter distance adjustment, and more human-like negotiation strategies, significantly elevating ride comfort.

VLA capabilities now extend to charging scenarios. Once a user sets a destination to a Li Auto supercharger via voice or navigation, the system allocates and locks a parking spot in advance. The vehicle then autonomously parks under NOA and opens the charging port, bridging the "last 100 meters" of the charging process. Currently supported at over 1,400 supercharger stations, the feature will gradually expand nationwide.

Meanwhile, the refreshed Li Auto L Series, equipped with the AD Pro chip, gains City NOA capabilities. Powered by Horizon Robotics’ Journey 6M computing power, the system enables end-to-end driver assistance for urban lane cruising, autonomous lane changes, traffic light handling, and obstacle avoidance.

Smart cockpit upgrades focus on safety and personalization. A new Pet Mode keeps the climate control running, allowing users to monitor the cabin remotely via the app. Additionally, the AI assistant "Li Xiangtong" introduces an Art Frame feature, generating static or dynamic screensavers from user-uploaded images—which can even sync with Pet Mode to display custom avatars.

Other practical additions include HUD narrow-road imaging, rapid cabin heating, and automatic driver seat adjustment via facial recognition. On the entertainment front, the update introduces the game Super Phantom Cat 2 and upgrades high-fidelity audio for Soda Music and NetEase Cloud Music.

In the smart electric domain, range-extended models now feature charging pre-heating, warming the battery en route to the station to boost efficiency in low temperatures. The L and i series also support customizable settings such as "driver-only door unlock," allowing users to flexibly choose unlocking modes based on time and location for enhanced safety when driving alone.

The rollout of OTA 8.2 underscores Li Auto's continued investment in full-stack self-development and AI integration. By systematically upgrading its functions, the company is further enhancing the practicality and comfort of the intelligent driving and cockpit experience for its users.
