Gasgoo.com (Shanghai) - According to statistics compiled by Gasgoo.com (Chinese), a total of 610,776 SUVs were sold in China in the month of April, up 30.7% from the previous year. SUVs accounted for 36.0% of all vehicles sold in the country over the course of the month, compared to an overall market share of 29.7% last April. A total of 2.57 million SUVs have been sold over the first four months of the year, representing year-on-year sales growth of 46.2%.

According to statistics compiled by Gasgoo.com (Chinese), a total of 1.14 million own brand SUVs were sold in the first quarter of this year, up 58.0% from the 726,071 own brand SUVs sold in the first quarter of last year. Own brand SUVs made up 58.4% of all SUVs sold in the country, with their year-on-year growth rate exceeding the market average of 51.9%.
