Gasgoo.com (Shanghai) - According to China Passenger Car Association statistics compiled by Gasgoo.com (Chinese), the top ten Chinese passenger automobile manufacturing enterprises sold a total of 1.21 million new automobiles in February, accounting for 92.2% of all vehicles sold in the country over the course of the month. The top six of them, SAIC Group, Dongfeng Motor, Changan Automobile, FAW Group, BAIC Group and GAC Group, accounted for 80.3% of all new car sales in February.

Compact SUVs account for 56.1% of all SUVs sold in China in 2015, down 6.9 percentage points from the previous year.

According to statistics from Gasgoo.com (Chinese), small SUVs accounted for 27.8% of all SUVs sold in the country in 2015, totaling 1.75 million units. That figure is over double from 2014, far above the average year-on-year growth rate for the overall SUV market.
Feb. 15 , 2016Gasgoo.com (Shanghai) - According to statistics compiled by Gasgoo.com (Chinese), a total of 20.19 million passenger automobiles were sold in China in 2015, representing year-on-year growth of 9.6%. Sales growth rates for foreign-affiliated joint venture enterprises have failed to meet the overall market average, with their combined passenger automobile sales only increasing a slight 2.4% from 12.20 million units sold in 2014 to 12.51 million units sold in 2015. The proportion of passenger automobile sales coming from joint venture model sales in 2015 totaled 61.9%, down 4.4 percentage points.
