He noted that the DCAS UNR 171 series 02, approved by WP.29, will become mandatory EU regulation in six months. This effectively means autonomous driving can legally enter the EU and other global markets starting in late 2026.

The company's overall gross margin for the quarter stood at 20.6%, up 5 percentage points from the same period in 2025. Cash on hand totaled 42.09 billion CNY by the end of the quarter.
In the earnings report, He outlined that following the GX launch, four new models will enter the delivery cycle in 2026. He also confirmed mass production timelines for both robotaxis and humanoid robots, aiming to complete production within the year and drive the commercialization of physical AI technology.
XPENG Vice Chairman Brian Gu noted that the first-quarter gross margin remained above 20%, driven largely by cost controls from proprietary technology and growing overseas revenue. The company has prioritized the large-scale commercialization of physical AI applications as a key strategic focus.
