Tire Review - Bridgestone Corp. subsidiary Bridgestone (Shenyang) Tire Co. is relocating its truck and bus tire plant in Shenyang, Liaoning Province.
The relocation, said Bridgestone, is "in accordance with Shenyang City development policies, which were revised following urbanization of the area surrounding the Shenyang Plant."
The plant is being physically moved to Shenyang Chemical Industry Park, and will encompass approximately 395,000 square meters. The move will cost $100 million, Bridgestone said.
The tiremaker gave no timeline for site purchase, preparation, construction or fitting of equipment.
