Normally, June and July link between the preceding and the following of a year. However, decline of auto export last for two months already, which may hold the attention of the industry practitioner. Some auto companies tell reporter that the main reasons for decline are global vehicle demand is under downturn, trade barrier is increasing, and RMB appreciates. Auto industry has a pessimistic view on the next half year.
Yang Dong, secretory of CAAM, believes that auto industry will not have a bright future the next half year, although export of China in July increased 7% compared with 3% decline over the same period of last year according to National Bureau of Statistics. Auto industry has not been influenced by the warm wave of export, still under downturn. “The dual-decline of auto export compared with last year and last month already raise the attention of association and company,” Yang Dong said, “we will take ‘stop auto export decline’ as one of our most important tasks in the future .”
