China CNR Corp., the nation's largest maker of electric locomotives, received a 5.7 billion yuan ($835 million) order from the Ministry of Railways yesterday, expanding its market dominance.
The 400 HXD3 electric locomotives will be delivered in eight months, China CNR said in a statement posted on its Web site last night. The order will increase the company's market share to 67.2 percent, according to the statement.
