Shanghai, January 4 (Gasgoo.com) In November 2008, China imported 33,300 vehicles, up 6.39% month on month and up 3.5% year on year, but the growth rate was markedly slower than October's year-on-year rise, xinhuanet.com reported on Wednesday, citing data from the China Association of Automobile Manufacturers.
Meanwhile, China's auto exports fell 46.5% in November to 35,800 units from the same period last year. November's auto exports were also 30.4% lower than in October, the report said.
From January to October, China imported more than 340,000 completed vehicles and chassis, up 39.7% year on year, Beijing Youth said one month ago.
China's auto market, the world's second largest and one of the fastest growing, is a rare bright spot for the global automotive industry that is facing factory closures, layoffs and huge losses due to the global financial crisis.
