Shanghai, April 9 (Gasgoo.com) Sales of passenger vehicles, including minivans, rose 22.4 percent in China in March from a year ago, data released by an industry association showed Thursday.
Passenger vehicle sales in March totaled 772,469 vehicles, the China Passenger Car Association (CPCA) said. The figure was up 26.7 percent from February sales of 609,745 vehicles.

The industry association said output for March grew 5.5 pct from a year earlier to 751,737 units, which marks 26 percent growth from February.
The association attributed the consecutive sales boom to the government's industry stimulus policies including subsidies for rural vehicle purchases and cuts in purchase tax on small cars.
