Guangzhou-Fiat JV to launch 2011 Fiat Bravo today

Shanghai September 19 (Gasgoo.com) Guangzhou-Fiat JV, established by Chinese automaker Guangzhou Automobile and Italian automaker Fiat SpA in July 2009, will release this evening its first product, the 2011 Fiat Bravo, in Changsha, capital of Hunan province, ifeng.com reported Sunday.

Nanjing Fiat, a joint venture between Nanjing Automobile Corp. (NAC) and Fiat SpA, which was already ended in 2007, had been selling the Bravo car in China from 2008. Fiat Bravo is one of the successful strategic models of Fiat SpA in the global market, which is also the main reason the car is picked.
 
Compared to the old version, the 2011 Bravo has two more models, with totally six models in different colors available in the Chinese market. Moreover, two more paddle shifters were added to the model equipped with an automated annual transmission (AMT).

The 2011 Fiat Bravo measures (LxWxH) 4336mm x 1792mm x 1498mm and has a wheelbase of 2600mm. The model with an annual transmission is still powered by a 1.4 T-Jet engine, which delivers 110kW/150hp of power and maximum torque of 230Nm, while the model using an automatic transmission has maximum power of 88kW/ 120hp.

At the car's launching ceremony this evening, Guangzhou-Fiat JV will also announce the start of its first channel marketing and its future development plan in the world's biggest auto market.
