The 2009 Shanghai auto show had curtains fall on April 28. As we are still amazed at how many luxury cars have been ordered again, what's missing in the auto show arouse our concern.
The theme of 2009 Shanghai auto show was called "Art of Innovation", while unfortunately, nobody actually cared the innovation. The Toyota's G-Book, Geely's powerstrain, GM's new energy vehicles and so many other new technologies should have been the spotlights at the grand auto show. However, almost all the automakers left their proud technical products at the obscure corners. Chinese car consumers care less about the new technologies compared to audience at other five global auto shows. What they really care is the completed products and marketing products. It can be said a big regret.
