Liuzhou to begin construction of 'Motor City'

Gasgoo.com (Shanghai February 17) - Construction of Liuzhou Motor City in Liuzhou, Guangxi, has already begun, Xinhua reported today. The city will use 203 square km of land to build industrial, logistics and exhibition areas, as well as residential blocks, cultural and tourist attractions and vehicle testing locations.

Liuzhou is the economic center of China's southeastern Guangxi autonomous region, and the home of Dongfeng Liuzhou Motor, a subsidiary of the Dongfeng Motor Corporation. The city hopes to produce one million vehicles annually in the Motor City, which would give the area a production value of 60 billion yuan ($9.12b).
