Gasgoo.com (Shanghai May 30) - The new generation Nissan Tiida Qida compact has officially hit the market late last week, the Beijing News reported today.
The Qida is the hatchback version of the Tiida sold within the country. This new generation generally improves on its predecessor in terms of appearance, dimensions, accessories and especially power. In addition to the 1.6 L naturally aspirated engine offered before, the new Qida also comes equipped with the overseas 190-hp 1.6 turbo version, the first domestically sold Nissan to offer the option.
The new Qida is larger than before, growing 45mm taller and 65mm wider, with an new wheelbase of 2.7m.
According to reports from dealers, the Qida will be available in five versions, including the XL version, which comes with continuously variable transmission as an option.
