Gasgoo Munich- Xynova has officially closed a 500 million yuan Series A+ funding round. The round was led by Meituan, with participation from NIO Capital, China Merchants Capital, and a major internet giant. Existing shareholder Xiaomi Strategic Investment also doubled down.
That brings the total to four funding rounds in under two years, raising roughly 1.5 billion yuan. Notably, Xynova stands alone in the embodied intelligence sector as the only dexterous hand maker to secure both lead and follow-on investments from seven major internet companies and new energy vehicle manufacturers.
Founded in 2024, Xynova is dedicated to building commercially viable dexterous hardware and algorithms for the "last centimeter" of embodied intelligence. Its portfolio focuses on high-degree-of-freedom (DOF) dexterous hands, micro electric cylinders, and integrated joint modules. Among domestic embodied intelligence players, it is one of the few with full in-house capabilities spanning motors, motor controls, algorithms, ball screws, and reducers.

To date, Xynova has rolled out two products: the Xynova Flex 1 and the Xynova Flex 2. The Flex 1 employs an arm-hand integrated, high-DOF tendon-driven approach, balancing high flexibility, high output, and extreme lightness. It boasts 25 degrees of freedom, a palm weight of just 380 grams, a load capacity exceeding 30 kilograms, and fingertip force surpassing 20N. The product officially launched in August 2025.
The Xynova Flex 2, officially unveiled on May 13 of this year, adopts a hybrid tendon-plus-direct-drive route with 23 degrees of freedom (19 active, 4 passive). Tendon drive handles grasping, with high-thrust motors placed in the forearm to actuate finger flexion and extension—achieving extreme lightness in the hand itself. Weighing just 400 grams, close to a human hand, it features compliant buffering and impact resistance, making it suitable for prolonged operation.
Direct motor drive manages side-swing and fine-tuning. Smaller degrees of freedom within the palm, such as lateral swing and finger opposition, are driven directly by micro direct-drive motors. This enables rapid response and precise positioning, with accuracy within ±0.1mm.
Additionally, the Flex 2 hybrid dexterous hand features a four-in-one multimodal perception system combining force, vision, tactile, and proximity sensing. Equipped with a "cerebellum-like algorithm," it uses adaptive strategies to execute instinctive reactions like "slip reflex." In common grasping scenarios, it achieves rapid response by invoking basic atomic skills such as grasping, pinching, and twisting.
Since its launch, the Flex 2 has quickly surpassed 635 orders. Xynova will showcase the Flex 2 at WAIC 2026, marking the device's first offline debut in China following its appearance at ICRA in Vienna.
