AITO Targets a Second One-Million Production Milestone in Two Years

Shanghai (Gasgoo)- On January 13, AITO's 1 millionth vehicle rolled off the line at its production base. Seres Group Chairman Zhang Xinghai said at the event that the first 1 million took five years; the next 1 million, AITO is aiming to complete within two years.

Looking back, AITO has been on a fast track since the brand launched in December 2021. It unveiled its first model, the AITO M5, that month, with deliveries starting in March 2022. Powered by Huawei's DriveONE range-extended electric platform and the HarmonyOS smart cockpit, it set an industry mark by topping 10,000 deliveries in 87 days; by May, monthly deliveries had already exceeded 5,000.

In September that year, monthly deliveries surpassed 10,000. By year-end, its customer service network covered 171 cities — laying a solid foundation for what followed.

2023 proved to be a pivotal year of iteration and upgrades: the entire lineup moved to HarmonyOS 3, the AITO M9 made its debut and was released at year-end, and a joint sales-and-service taskforce took shape to streamline cooperation.

In 2024, AITO's growth went into overdrive. January sales of 32,900 put the brand atop the monthly chart among China's EV startups. The new M7 alone delivered more than 30,000 units that month, while the M9 broke into the front ranks of the premium market — and AITO stayed in the lead among startup peers through the year.

By 2025, AITO deepened ecosystem collaboration, co-developing the HarmonyOS Intelligent Mobility ecosystem with Huawei and other companies to standardize technology and services. December deliveries topped 57,000, a new monthly high, and full-year deliveries exceeded 420,000.

From first deliveries to the million-vehicle milestone, AITO pulled off a five-year rise in the luxury segment. With the M5, M7 and M9 forming a full product matrix, continuously advancing driver-assistance tech, and industry-leading Net Promoter Scores and residual values, the brand has laid a solid base to reach its next million within two years.
