Gasgoo Munich- On February 24, Qiao Xinyu, deputy general manager of user operations at BAIC BJEV's ARCFOX brand, announced that the new Alpha S5 is scheduled to launch in mid-to-late March. Pre-sales are set to begin in early March.

Qiao also revealed details on the new ARCFOX Alpha S5, including a 256-color aurora ambient lighting system, a 19-speaker setup with a "Sky Sound Channel," zero-gravity seats, and BAIC's "Yuanjing" advanced driver-assistance system.
ARCFOX previously released official images of the new Alpha S5, positioning it as an "AI high-performance wide-body coupe." The Ministry of Industry and Information Technology of China has also published filing details for the new ARCFOX Alpha S5. In terms of dimensions, the new model measures 4,886 mm long, 1,930 mm wide, and 1,480 mm tall, with a wheelbase of 2,900 mm.
Visually, upgrades focus on the front fascia and color palette. The front end features a new "C"-shaped bumper with sharp, layered lines and a triple air intake design. This complements the sharp digital prism LED headlights on either side, enhancing the vehicle's visual impact.
The design retains frameless doors and hidden handles, while the rear features Super-red array taillights and an intelligent active rear wing, further enhancing the car's sporty appearance.
In terms of powertrain, the new ARCFOX Alpha S5 offers two options built on mature electric technology to suit diverse needs. The rear-drive single-motor version delivers up to 200 kW of power and 360 Nm of torque, with a range of up to 708 km. The dual-motor all-wheel-drive version features a combined 390 kW and 690 Nm, accelerating from 0 to 100 km/h in 3.7 seconds, with a top speed of 180 km/h.
Pricing has yet to be announced. For context, the current Alpha S5 lineup is purely electric, with official guide prices ranging from 127,800 to 177,800 yuan.
