It is reported that Engineered by Lotus Automobile has accomplished the research of the alternative fuel vehicles, which will be published in the latest catalog of alternative fuel vehicles announced by Chinese Ministry of Industry and Information Technology. And other two models of alternative fuel cars will go public later this year.
However, compared with other automakers in the hot competitive alternative cars market, Engineered by Lotus Automobile has few advantages. Currently, many big automakers are engaged in establishing electric charging stations, while others are researching the technology of electric transformation. Since Lotus Automobile has taken little measures in building EV charging station, it may resort to electric transformation, which is no easy way. Electric transformation requires high standard of after-sales service and high technology. Besides, electric transformation network has to be as widespread as possible. Encountered with sales network loss, the company has little room to develop the electric transformation network.
