Gasgoo Munich- Yanfeng Automotive Interiors Systems recently began pile foundation construction at its new Anting base, Gasgoo reported on Aug. 7. With a total investment of 1.45 billion yuan, the facility integrates smart cockpit R&D and production, aiming to inject fresh momentum into Jiading’s ambition to become a core hub for the world-class automotive industry.
Situated west of the Gupu River and south of Minfeng Road in Anting, the site covers approximately 190,000 square meters. Plans call for five structures with a combined above-ground floor area of about 200,000 square meters, including three smart factories, a four-story parking garage, and supporting facilities. In total, nearly 4,000 piles will be driven to support the development.

As a flagship industrial project for Jiading this year, the new base will provide nearby support for mainstream OEMs, including SAIC Volkswagen, SAIC Audi, SAIC Motor, BYD, Li Auto, and Volvo. By leveraging Yanfeng’s global technical experts and international branches, the facility adheres to a green, low-carbon, and circular development path, offering automakers comprehensive cockpit solutions from design to mass production.
The construction contract spans 555 days. Pile foundation work is slated for completion between late September and early October, while the main structures are expected to top out in June 2027. The entire project is scheduled for completion in the first quarter of 2028.
