To further expand the commercial vehicles market, Brilliance Auto Group recently sealed the deal to acquire two Chinese automobile companies in Henan and Jiangsu provinces, according to Qi Yumin, chairman of the company's board.
According to Qi, the firm plans to sign a contract with an Austrian R&D authorized by Mercedes-Benz for the production of special vehicles.
Brilliance recently announced its five-year plan, which consists of reaching a sales volume of 1.5 million units by 2015.
Brilliance Auto Group currently owns three public companies: Brilliance China (1114.HK), Shenyang Jinbei Automotive (600609.SH), and Shenhua Holdings (600653.SH).
