Gasgoo Munich- On Oct. 8, Maextro issued a statement today addressing online debate over its brake pedal bracket base, sparked by a circulating video. Because brakes are critical to driving safety, the automaker said it is taking the matter seriously, detailing its development and validation standards, real-world performance, and plans for future upgrades.

On the facts, Maextro first outlined the validation benchmarks for its braking system. The automaker said the system was developed and tested to standards stricter than national requirements GB 21670-2025 and GB 7258-2026, as well as industry standard QC/T 788-2018. Since the first deliveries, there have been no reports of bracket-base fractures in real-world driving.
Maextro, however, didn't stop at the absence of real-world failures. The company stressed that user safety remains its top priority, and that it wants to build in greater safety margins even for non-standard, extreme test scenarios. On that basis, Maextro will refine the component's design and offer a free upgrade to existing owners.
The improvements will go beyond individual parts. Maextro said it will conduct a systemic review and tighten oversight across design validation, testing boundaries, and production quality management, aiming to continuously strengthen its overall safety framework.
