Organizing committee for SAE China Intellectual Property Branch was successfully held in Beijing on July 13th. Twenty organizations, including CATARC, CAERI, FAW Group, FAW Technology Center, UAES, Changan Auto, GAEI, GWM, BYD, Chery, BAIC Foton, Weichai Group, Yutong Group, Sino-Trunk, Citic Dicastal, Shengrui Transmission, Jilin University and BUAA, are cooperating to establish the organization.
Growing auto production volume and increasing number of domestic auto companies joining in global competition help auto companies realize that the importance of patents. The establishment of above organization will help to coordinate auto companies, universities and researching institutes to conduct cooperative developments and protection on auto technologies, thus promoting the independent innovation among auto companies. Besides, it would promote the establishment of patent database and provide a supporting platform for auto companies.
