Gasgoo Munich-BYD's second-generation Seal 07 hit the market on November 5, offering BEV and PHEV versions at special trade-in prices ranging from RMB 135,900 to RMB 168,900, accroding to BYD. Positioned as a mid-to-large-size sedan, the new model is the first BYD vehicle to feature the DiSus-M intelligent magnetorheological body control system and Smart Ecosystem 2.0.

Design and dimensions
The second-generation Seal 07 adopts BYD's Ocean Aesthetics 2.0 design language, featuring a wide front fascia, sculpted hood lines and daytime running lights inspired by gemstone cuts. Its side profile features dual character lines, while the rear is equipped with the brand's layered taillight design. Six exterior colors are available: Parala Green, Aurora Pink, Sea Mist Purple, Glazed Silver, Snowfield White and Obsidian Black. Interior options include Cloud White, Phantom Gray and Night Purple.
Chassis and handling
The Seal 07 is the first model to feature BYD's DiSus-M intelligent magnetorheological body control system. According to BYD, the system uses direct magnetic-fluid actuation to respond within 1 millisecond and offers a damping adjustment range of 100–10,000 N. It works with a double-wishbone front suspension and an enhanced five-link rear independent suspension. Road preview technology and the iTAC 2.0 intelligent torque control system are also integrated.
Powertrain, range and charging
The battery-electric version features BYD's Flash Charging technology and second-generation Blade Battery. BYD says the vehicle can be charged in five minutes and fully charged in nine minutes, with charging at minus 30°C taking only three minutes longer. Its CLTC-rated range is 775 km, with energy consumption as low as 9.8 kWh per 100 km.
The plug-in hybrid version is equipped with a dedicated 1.5-liter turbocharged engine, offering a CLTC-rated electric-only range of 330 km and NEDC fuel consumption as low as 3.3 liters per 100 km when the battery is depleted.
Interior and comfort
The Seal 07 measures 5,080 mm long, 1,960 mm wide and 1,495 mm high, with a wheelbase of 2,960 mm. The BEV version offers a 160-liter front trunk and a 618-liter rear cargo compartment, along with 39 storage spaces throughout the cabin.
The front seats support electric adjustment, lumbar support, leg rests, massage, ventilation and heating. The driver's seat also features a one-touch zero-gravity mode, while a flat-bed mode allows the front seats to fold back and align with the rear seats. Other equipment includes a 20-speaker Devialet sound system, a 6.8-liter smart refrigerator with heating and cooling functions, and an electric sunshade for the panoramic roof.
Infotainment and driver assistance
The Seal 07 is the first BYD model to feature Smart Ecosystem 2.0. Its central display has an ultra-narrow bezel and supports accessories such as the Diva smart dial and customizable buttons. Other features include an AI daily briefing, Magic Cube Microphone and a Seal-themed virtual companion.
For driver assistance, the vehicle is equipped with BYD's God's Eye B system (DiPilot 300) with LiDAR. Its functions include urban navigation assistance, highway and expressway navigation assistance, and parking assistance. BYD also provides a dual guarantee covering its intelligent parking and urban navigation assistance functions.
Safety
The Seal 07 uses BYD's second-generation Blade Battery and Cell-to-Body (CTB) technology, which integrates the battery into the vehicle body. It is equipped with up to nine airbags. For active safety, the model features the iTBC tire-blowout stability control system, which BYD says helps maintain vehicle stability in the event of a tire blowout at high speeds.
