Gasgoo.com (Shanghai April 21st)– State Grid Corporation of China, short for SGCC, has recently issued the first-round invitation for bid for more than 6,600 sets of charging facilities in 2016. Bid opening will be carried out several days after submission of bid expiring on April 12.
This year, it is expected that SGCC will invest RMB650 million yuan on procuring charging facilities during this invitation of bid. This indicates that construction of charging stations for alternative energy vehicle will be accelerated a lot.
Among more than 6,600 sets of charging facilities calling for tenders, there are more than 400 sets of direct-current charging facilities accessible by expressways, as insiders think.
According to SGCC, charging stations will be built by expressways in a total of 202 cities in China until 2020. Besides, National Energy Administration of China has laid out standards of constructing charging facilities on December 28, 2015. In this way, construction of charging stations is expected to meet the demand of promoting alternative energy vehicles.
As sales of alternative energy vehicles in China surged in the last quarter of 2015, construction of charging stations needs to be accelerated. Otherwise, promotion of green vehicles will be stemmed.
But, with government subsidies issued, more and more companies have begun to invest on developing charging facilities. By 2020, according to the current situation, there will be more than 13000 new centralized charging station built and more than 4.9 million distributed charging stations built, so as to meet the demand of 5 million units of electric vehicles in China.
Therefore, as expected, 2016 will see surging development of construction of charging facilities in China.
