Shanghai, April 12 (Gasgoo.com) Prices of both domestic cars and imported cars showed a small downward trend last month, said a report, based on surveys carried out in 36 big and mid-size cities, issued by the price monitoring center under the National Development and Reform Commission (NDRC), China’s top economic planner.
The report said prices of domestically made cars decreased slightly by 0.15 % in March from the previous month, but compared to the same period last year, car prices rose by 1.49 %. Passenger car prices fell significantly by 0.36% month-on-month. Commercial car prices fluctuated slightly, with a small decline in light and medium trucks while a small increase in commercial passenger cars.
The decline trend in car prices continued in the imported car market, with a decrease of 1.13% m/m, but car prices rose by 3.01 % from a year earlier. With the continuous car launching and the approaching of the Beijing International Auto Show, car prices will continue to fall steadily, forecast by the price monitoring center under the NDRC.
