Gasgoo.com (Shanghai April 7) - The Chrysler Group (China) Sales
announced that it was recalling 464 Jeep Wranglers, China's General
Administration of Quality Supervision, Inspection and Quarantine confirmed
today.
Chrysler Group (China) Sales, which made
the action on behalf of parent Chrysler Group LLC, said that the decision was
made because of possible defects in fasteners linking the chassis with the
front and rear wheelbases. In less serious cases the flaw could create
undesired noise during vehicle operation, while severe cases could see steering
being adversely affected.
Chyrlser Group (China)
Sales will conduct free inspection and replacement of fasteners in all recalled
Wranglers. The company will also conduct service checks on all unsold Wranglers in inventory
before selling.
