D-Robotics Partners with Dingdang Robotics to Tackle Edge-Side Large Model Deployment Challenges

Gasgoo Munich- On June 1, 2026, D-Robotics and Dingdang Robotics have forged a strategic partnership. The pair will launch a deep software-hardware collaboration centered on an "edge-side brain and high-computing foundation," jointly advancing the development and deployment of Dingdang Robotics's on-device spatial intelligence model, NeutronBrain-E, on D-Robotics's Rising Sun S600 embodied computing platform. The goal: to shatter the performance ceiling for on-device inference of 100-billion-parameter large models.

For robots to scale from the lab into real-world environments like homes and communities, they must overcome the critical flaws of cloud inference—network jitter, latency spikes, and privacy risks. They need native on-device capabilities to "think offline and act disconnected." Yet, current industry models largely cap out at 10 billion parameters. Supporting complex spatial understanding and long-term task planning demands 100-billion-parameter inference, but edge chips are constrained by memory, bandwidth, and power consumption. Single-point optimization has hit a wall.

Dingdang Robotics's NeutronBrain-E, a native 100-billion-parameter spatial intelligence model, brings four core capabilities, including spatial understanding and inference planning. Complementing this, D-Robotics's Rising Sun S600 offers high computing density and a fully open toolchain, delivering stable, low-latency hardware support. By aligning algorithm architecture with underlying computing power, the partners have set two initial targets: Time to First Token (TTFT) under 1 second, and decoding speeds exceeding 30 tokens per second. The aim is to establish a replicable paradigm for on-device deployment across the industry.

"This is a meeting of minds between the Rising Sun S600 high-computing foundation and top-tier spatial intelligence algorithms," said Wang Cong, CEO of D-Robotics. He noted that deep coordination from the design stage is the only way to break through performance bottlenecks. Dingdang Robotics founder Niu Jianwei added that the partnership will accelerate the entry of general robots into diverse scenarios, propelling the embodied intelligence sector into a new phase of large-scale application.
