Gasgoo.com (Shanghai July 10) - Dongfeng Honda's second production site, which has been under construction for almost a year and a half now, officially begun operation earlier this month, Economic Observer News reported today. The site, located in Hubei's capital of Wuhan, boasts a preliminary annual production capacity of 100,000 to 120,000 vehicles. Combined capacity of its two factories is expected to be around 300,000 vehicles in 2012.
The 1.05 million sq. m. site (pictured below) contains seven different production assembly lines, as well as an automobile storage hall, water treatment room and an office building. The site is designed to manufacture 240,000 vehicles a year.
According to internal sources, the site will be responsible for manufacturing the new Honda CR-V, Spirior and Civic (pictured above).
