Gasgoo Munich-OPmobility and Yanfeng announced on June 2 they have completed a business upgrade of their Chinese joint venture, Yanfeng Plastic Omnium. The changes take effect on June 1, 2026.
Under the upgrade plan, OPmobility and Yanfeng are consolidating their respective module assembly operations into Yanfeng Plastic Omnium and adding new business lines for signature lighting and decorative lighting solutions. Post-integration, Yanfeng Plastic Omnium will target domestic OEMs with a comprehensive, differentiated product portfolio that includes exterior body systems, signature and decorative lighting, module assemblies, and exterior system integration solutions.

Yanfeng Plastic Omnium is a leading domestic supplier of automotive exterior components, specializing in products such as bumpers and tailgates. It currently operates more than 30 factories and one R&D center nationwide, employing roughly 3,000 people. The integration is expected to unlock industrial and commercial synergies to meet growing demand from both Chinese and international automakers for integrated solutions in the local market.
Félicie Burelle, CEO of OPmobility, said the upgrade underscores the group's long-term commitment to and confidence in the Chinese market. By expanding its product and technology matrix, Yanfeng Plastic Omnium will further strengthen its capabilities in high-value-added solutions. "This aligns closely with our diversification strategy across regions, technologies, and customers," she noted.
Founded in 2007 by OPmobility and Yanfeng, Yanfeng Plastic Omnium sees this business upgrade as marking a new chapter in their partnership.
