Gasgoo.com (Shanghai April 2) - FAW Car released its sales report for 2014 earlier this week, the China Securities Journal reported today. According to the report, the manufacturer sold a total of 293,300 vehicles in 2014, up 18.04 percent from the previous year. The manufacturer earned total revenue of 33.86 billion RMB ($5.52b) during the course of the year, an increase of 14.09 percent from 2013. However, its total net profits fell 83.99 percent, totaling 161.27 million RMB ($26.31b).
FAW Car stated that it worked very hard to counter the effects of the decreasing market growth rates and poor reception among own brand manufacturers. The manufacturer states that its efforts were successful in boosting its marketing capability, product quality and management system, with product sales and revenue all increasing.
