FAW Group Corporation is taking up the target to make key breakthroughs in 60 core technologies of electric vehicles from the 2011- 2015 period.
The Chinese automaker has set up a branch to develop and promote its hybrid buses, hybrid B-Class sedans, plug-in A-Class sedans and electric economy cars, according to FAW.
The firm intends to perfect the technologies of electrical power systems, electro-mechanical coupling system, battery system and key electronic components including brakes, steering and air conditioner.
