On May 7, FAW- VW has its groundbreaking ceremony for the second phrase project of Foshan Plant at South China Base. The plant will own about 300 Thousand cars capacity after the second phrase project build up. The entire production capacity will mount to 600 thousandth.
According to the plan, the investment of the second phrase South China Base of FAW- VW is about 15.3 billion CNY. Construction circle is about 36 months. The project will bring about 300 thousand finished cars capacity after it achieved. It will produce the latest products of VW and Audi MQB platform. Meanwhile, the entire South China Base of FAW- VW will mount to 600 thousand cars, and the total production capacity of FAW- VW will break 2 million cars.
As it known, Foshan Plant now produce the new Golf and Audi A3 etc modes. In the future, hybrid plug-in automobile and pure electronic cars of FAW- VW will be produced by the plant as well.
