The first meeting between Feng Xingya and Ren Zhengfei set the course for the new Qijing brand, while this latest exchange is being viewed as a clear signal that the partnership is evolving from "strategic consensus" to "deepened development."
The two sides delved into the Qijing brand’s trajectory, the roadmap for next-generation intelligent vehicles, and ways to deepen their collaboration. They agreed that the next phase of automotive intelligence demands a deep fusion of manufacturing heritage and smart technology — with Qijing serving as the proof of concept. According to the official introduction, the Qijing brand aims to carve out a competitive edge by combining "major automaker quality" with "top-tier intelligence," catering to diverse needs ranging from personal enjoyment to family practicality.
On the product front, the Qijing GT7 — a jointly developed intelligent shooting brake — successfully launched and began deliveries in late June. Meanwhile, the Qijing GX7, a spacious five-seat intelligent versatile SUV, is slated for a September debut.
Regarding sales channels and service networks, Qijing plans to establish a presence in over 90 cities with more than 300 stores by the end of this year. This expansion lays the groundwork for large-scale deliveries and long-term user operations.
From an industry perspective, Qijing attempts to answer a critical question: how can automakers maintain their agency during a smart-tech transformation while fully leveraging the innovation of tech giants? The solution involves the automaker solidifying hardware and manufacturing capabilities, while the tech partner opens up its full-stack technology and processes. By working under one roof, integrating at the foundational level, and innovating together, the two aim to drive high-quality development. If this model succeeds, it could provide a blueprint for the intelligent transformation of China's automotive sector.
