Beijing (Gasgoo)- GAC Group has led the C2 financing round of local autonomous driving solution provider Holomatic, GAC AION announced on November 23.

According to GAC AION, Holomatic has raised $100 million in the entire Series C rounds, and the proceeds will be put towards high-level autonomous driving technology R&D, large-scale production, and others.
Founded in 2017, Holomatic is a dedicated provider of mass-produced autonomous driving solutions in China, with full-fledged layout from artificial intelligence algorithm to embedded system, from big data closed-loop to system iteration.
Prior to the financing rounds, GAC AION and Holomatic have been cooperating in the fields of L2++ intelligent driving functions, automated parking, and memory parking functions. Currently, their co-developed NDA intelligent assistant driving function has been successfully implemented onto the AION LX Plus model, which is installed with three second-generation LiDAR units.
In addition to external cooperations, GAC AION has also independently developed and mass-produced intelligent connected technologies such as the Xingling Architecture and the Pusai OS.
Leveraging its two-pronged strategy that focuses on proprietary innovatios as well as joint cooperations, GAC AION has formed a strong ability of vertical integration throughout the industrial chain. The investment in Holomatic will further enhance the automaker's strength in the full-scenario applications of mass-produced autonomous driving technologies.
