GAC President ZHANG Fangyou Confirms the First time JEEP Project Settled in Guangzhou

Zhang fang you, president of GAC, took interview yesterday. He unveils the location of the biggest SUV segment sales brand JEEP China made.

Fiat insisted to set JEEP plant in Changsha of Hunan Province, but what’s more interesting, an environment assessment report of Environment Protection Agency of Guangzhou discloses that GAC-Fait finally decide to set the second plant in Fanyu District of Guangzhou. According to the report, the second plant of GAC-Fiat is located at north of GAC passenger car plant of Fanyu Guangzhou, which is able to use GAC passenger car resource. The entire project invests 4.74 billion Yuan, and with 160 thousand production capacity. Products include C-SUV and B-SUV passenger car, joint venture owned brand and new energy brand passenger car.

It has different versions of JEEP China made location goes around. One of them is GAC-Fiat will produce JEEP both in Changsha plant and Fanyu Guangzhou plant. But Zhang fang you said that it is no doubt to set the project in Guangzhou. Meanwhile, he says “Changsha plant does not slow down enlargement a little bit. Resource is too much concentration in just one plant. It is unreasonable to set two partners’ resource into one’s bowl. Relativelyseparated out is acceptable.”
