Gasgoo Munich- Geely Automobile Holdings Limited ("Geely Automobile") opened 2026 with record-breaking momentum, reporting first-quarter sales of 709,358 units—the highest ever for the period. March alone contributed 233,031 vehicles, up 13% from the previous month, underscoring a steady acceleration in demand.
A closer look at the sales mix highlights two primary growth engines: the continued rise in new energy vehicle (NEV) adoption and a sharp expansion in overseas markets.
During the first quarter, Geely Automobile sold 369,059 NEVs, lifting its NEV rate to 52%, with March alone reaching 55%. Meanwhile, exports surged to 203,024 units, more than doubling year-on-year with a 126% increase, significantly outpacing overall sales growth and reinforcing the company's expanding global footprint.
Geely's multi-brand strategy continues to play a central role, with each marque positioned to target distinct segments and powertrain pathways, creating a complementary portfolio across markets.
The core Geely brand remained the backbone of group volume, delivering 550,659 units in the first quarter. Within this lineup, the premium "China Star" series contributed 103,366 units, including 32,818 units in March, maintaining strong value positioning in the internal combustion segment.
Lynk & Co posted first-quarter sales of 81,662 units, up 12% year-on-year, with March sales reaching 25,426 units. Notably, NEVs accounted for 62% of its monthly sales, reflecting a rapid shift toward electrification. The brand continues to expand its product lineup, unveiling the flagship Lynk & Co 900 SUV and confirming the naming of its mid-to-large electric sedan as the Lynk & Co 10. Performance-oriented variants, including updated versions of the Lynk & Co 03 and 07 EM-P, further reinforce its positioning in niche, high-performance segments.
