Shanghai August 30 (Gasgoo.com) Beijing News reported that Chevrolet's Orlando model is likely to be produced in China, and will be sold at around 170,000 yuan-220,000 yuan ($25,000-$32,353).

The introduction of Orlando will enrich Shanghai GM's MPV production lineup, which is currently dominated by Buick GL8. The locally produced Orlando will probably carry the same powertrain as Cruze but that doesn't rule out the possibility that it may carry a 2.0L engine like Regal's.

Chevrolet's Orlando is a MPV model of seven seats. Its whole appearance bears great resemblance to the concept car. It is reported that it will make its debut in Paris Motor Show 2010 in October and will be put into production in the same month. The new Orlando will be launched to the European market at the beginning of 2011.

In the European market, Orlando will carry two types of engines: a petrol engine of 1.8L with a 141 horsepower and two diesel engines of 2.0 L with the maximum horsepower of 131 and 163 repectively.

Orlando initially starts with a front-wheel drive model and later will introduce a four-wheel drive version.
