Gasgoo.com (Shanghai June 13) - Great Wall Motor plans to over double both its automobile production capacity and staff by 2015, Reuters reported earlier this week. Great Wall, which is China's largest SUV manufacturer, has set its sights on further expand ingits market share in the country.
Great Wall aims to increase its annual production capacity to 1.5 million vehicles by 2015. At the same time, the manufacturer will make 63,800 new hires, with 43,000 of the open positions being on the general assembly line and over 2,800 in its management team. Great Wall's currently employs 56,000 staff.
The manufacturer sold a total of 624,600 vehicles in 2012, a full 28.3 percent more than it sold the previous year. 250,000 Great Wall vehicles have been sold from January to April of this year.
