Gasgoo.com (Shanghai June 18) - Great Wall Motor will be coming to Bulgaria in full force, with the manufacturer announcing that it will be showing off several models at this year's Motor Show Sofia. Great Wall will also begin operation at its knockdown kit assembly factory in the country by the end of the year, the Nanfang Daily reported earlier this week.

Construction on the factory began in May 2009, with progress continuing at a smooth pace. The factory will be able to assemble 50,000 cars by completion. The factory will concentrate on the Phengm, the Wingle truck and Haval H6 SUV (pictured).

Great Wall has plans to open similar factories in Malaysia, Brazil, Turkey, Venezuela and Kazakhstan, among other countries. The manufacturer hopes that overseas production will reach 500,000 units by 2015.

Great Wall has already accumulated over a 1,000 orders from Bulgaria, and hopes to send vehicles as early as this August.
