Recently, Honda had showed 2 hybrid system in one of its technical meetings, which will be localized within 3 years. These technologies are just plan for several years. The point of Honda strategy is to localize the hybrid power. So these 2 hybrid systems showed in the meeting both will be localized in 3 years. For this, Honda had invested 400 million to establish a company to operate the localization of 2 hybrid systems. To compete in this area, Honda must behave much better than Toyota. In the technical meetings, a lot of technical innovation has been displayed.
Till 2015, there will be 9 new models of Honda in Chinese market, 4 of which will be specially for China. The technology updating is the strategy of Honda in global market. For China, Honda not only develops new cars but also promote platform strategy as Volkswagen to remedy the lack of production line. But compared with Nissan & Toyota, Honda doesn't have any plan to enhance brand. So Honda still is the chaser and should be more radical to be leading.
