Gasgoo.com (Shanghai June 7) - Honda Motor's Japanese headquarters released their May sales results today, the People's Daily Online reported today. According to the figures, Honda's sales in China hit 27,204 in the month, a decrease of 31.6 percent from last May. This is the second month in a row the manufacturer's Chinese business experienced negative growth from last year.
The decrease in sales has been attributed to difficulty in securing autoparts in the wake of the recent Japanese disasters.
In other news, Toyota's sales in May also decreased from last year, a drop of 35 percent less. However, Japan's other automobile giant Nissan saw its sales grow. Honda and Toyota have both expressed their desire for their businesses to recover as soon as possible.
